Department
of Consumer Affairs, Government of India, provides the facility to file a
Consumer Complaint through online mode with the help of the web portal https://edaakhil.nic.in. Web portal developed under
the Consumer Protection Act 2019 with the help National Informatics Centre (NIC),
New Delhi. The main purpose of the web portal is to increase the timely and effective
redressal of consumer complaints.
In this
post, we learn how to file a Consumer Complaint with the help of the edaakhil web
portal. Consumers registered themselves and activated the account before filing
their complaints.
Once your registration
is done, then login to the web portal with your login credential. A welcome page
will appear.
Click on
filing a new case under the Filling menu. Then click on the Consumer Case (CC)
button and enter the disputed amount. (Up to Rs. 5 Lacs court fee is nill).
Click on the Consumer Case (CC) button select the place of action and click on Continue.
Edaakhil web portal shows the respective District Consumer
Dispute Redressal Commission’s district, where your complaint will be filed.
Click on the Case details button to fill in the case details as per the required information,
like Complaint Name, address, email-id, and contact number, etc. After that in
your disputes, if any additional complaint is available, then click on the Additional Complaint tab and fill in the required information.
After that in your disputes, if any additional respondent is available,
then click on the Additional respondent tab and fill the required information.
After that important part of the filing complaint is appear,
i.e. Document Upload.
Click on the Document Upload tab, there are some mandatory documents listed under the Description column. These documents have to be uploaded by the complaint. (Maximum document size will be 20 MB). Choose your file from your computer and click on upload.
If you want to upload some additional documents then click on Add Document button. After clicking on the Add Document button one more row is added to the page. Mentioned the document name under the description column. Choose your file from your computer and click on upload. With the help Add Document button, you can upload the rest files, that you want to upload. After successfully uploading your all documents, you must finalize and submit your application.
If you registered
your complaint on the national helpline then click on yes otherwise click on no.
Confirm all the following points checked and press the Finalize button.
Your complaint is successfully submitted to the respective Consumer
Commission.
- Uploaded documents should be readable.
- Proper numbering of all pages.
- Uploaded documents should be the same as per the uploaded index.
- Upload your documents as per the description.
