How to enable spelling check function in M S Word 2013 and later versions.


Microsoft Word software provides so many features for the users. One of those features spelling and grammar checks is the best features. But some users didn't know how to enable the spelling and grammar check feature. In this post, I'll show you how to enable and use it.


Sometimes, when we are typing a letter/application in MS Word, We notice that MS Word didn't show the spelling mistake of your typed work. That means the spelling checker function is disabled in  MS Word.

In this situation, We need to enable the spelling checker function in your MS Word to show and correct spelling mistakes. 

 But the question is, how to fix the issue??

Here is the solution, and follow the following steps.

  • First click on the FILE button which is placed on the left-hand side top corner. 
  •  File menu appears.
  • Then click on the Options button.
  • Word Options pop-up window appears, which shows the General, Display, Save, Language, Advanced, etc.
  • Then click on the Proofing button, which shows the spelling and grammar-related functions.
  • Click on the check box of Check spelling as you type and Mark grammar errors as you type under the "When Correcting spelling and grammar in word", module.
  • Click on OK.

Now Spelling Check function is enabled. And your typed text is spelling mistake free.

If you have an Excel workbook with different column sizes like the below picture.  Such kind of Excel worksheet is not impressive for your presentations.  Here is the solution for fixing the column size as per the content size.  If you want to fit the column size as the column content size, do it manually or do it smartly just single command. So let's do it smartly. Right-click on the sheet1 button and select the view code. As below picture. A popup window appears. Click on General and select the Worksheet and type the command  “Cells.EntireColumn.Autofit” between Private Sub and End Sub. As below picture.
